Laura Grassi is Director of the Fintech & Insurtech Observatory and Senior Assistant Professor of Investment Banking and Finance Lab at Politecnico di Milano.

She is Director of the Executive MBA Evening Program at the Graduate School of Management and Scientific Director of several master's degrees in digital finance in collaboration with numerous financial institutions. It was also appointed member of the Banking Stakeholder Group (BSG) of the European Banking Authority (EBA).

Her research interests focus on the integration between digital innovation and financial services, with a particular focus on Fintech, Banking and Corporate Governance. She actively supports the growth of startups in the Fintech and Insurtech sector and leads numerous applied research projects at national and European level. Throughout her career, she has promoted digital transformation in the financial sector, combining her academic commitment with concrete initiatives in collaboration with companies.

Laura holds a PhD and a degree with honors in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. She has published widely on innovative topics such as open finance, decentralized finance (DeFi) and the use of technologies in transforming the financial sector.
