Ronan started his career as a consultant with AT Kearney in France where he
specialised in Post-Merger Integration activities in the Retail and Automotive
industries. He joined EDF Group in 2003 and worked with the COO to support the
design EDF Group’s strategy and management structure and then focusing on the
rationalisation of the activities in Latin America.
In 2005 he moved to support the Group CFO among other things in the preparation
and implementation of EDF SA Initial Public Offering. He relocated to the UK in
June 2007 as Financial Controller and M&A Director for EDF Energy. As part of
his responsibilities he took an active role in the acquisition of British Energy
and the divestment of Network activities, the Eggborough Coal Power Station and
the Sutton Bridge Gas power station.
In September 2011 he was appointed as Finance Director for the non-nuclear
activities of EDF Energy including: Coal and Gas generation assets, Renewable
activities, wholesale market exposure optimisation, B2B sales, B2C sales. In
December 2013 Ronan was appointed Chief Financial officer for EDF Trading. EDF
Group’s exclusive commodity trader specialised in Power, Gas, Coal, LNG and LPG
trading across the world.
On April 4th 2017 Ronan took on the responsibility of Managing Director for JERA
Trading a Joint Venture between Japanese Corporation JERA and EDF Group to
develop a global fossil fuel trading platform based in Singapore with Operations
in London, Amsterdam and North Americ
