Andrea Lissoni, PhD, is since April 2020 Artistic Director of Haus der Kunst, Munich. Formerly Senior Curator, International Art (Film) at Tate Modern (since 2014) and previously curator at HangarBicocca, Milan, he co-founded and co-directed the international festival Netmage (2000-2013) At HangarBicocca he curated survey exhibitions of Angela Ricci Lucchi&Yervant Gianikian, Wilfredo Prieto, Tomas Saraceno (2012), Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Mike Kelley, (2013), Micol Assael, Joan Jonas (2014), Celine Condorelli, Philippe Parreno (2016). At Tate Modern he launched a Cinema Programme conceived as an exhibition unfolding throughout the year, he co-curated the 2017 and 2018 BMW Live Exhibition, curated the 2016 Hyundai Turbine Hall Commission by Philippe Parreno as well as the travelling exhibitions Joan Jonas (2018), Bruce Nauman and various projects in the Tanks (notably with artists Lawrence Abu Hamdan, 2018 and Pan Daijing, 2019). In 2018 he co-curated the Biennale de l’Image en Mouvement, Centre d'Art Contemporain, Genève (OGR Torino, 2019).
