The upcoming implementation of various regulations for crypto-asset service providers (CASPs), including the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCAR) and the Transfer of Funds Regulation (ToF), creates a complex regulatory landscape. Adding to this are the new responsibilities introduced by the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), which aims to strengthen the operational and digital resilience of the European financial sector. It is clear that ICT providers and CASPs must now implement a strict risk management and governance system for their services.
In this changed regulatory environment, which establishes a high European standard of compliance, investments in technology, staff training, and cyber-resilience will be necessary.
